The inception of Culture Scoop traces back to Tyra Tucker's interactions with a WeChat Pen Pal in Beijing, China. Engaging in discussions spanning sports, culinary delights, traditions, and travel, Tyra found herself captivated by the opportunity to explore another's reality and forge cultural connections. This fascination birthed the concept of Culture Scoop – a digital platform designed to facilitate global learning and connection.
Upon relocating from United States to pursue further studies in Derby, England, Tyra's vision for Culture Scoop began to materialize. Supported by both the academic and financial backing of the University of Derby, she embarked on a journey to secure funding, recruit interns, and develop the platform. Through relentless dedication manifested in countless hours, emails, filming, and writing, Culture Scoop emerged as a pioneering force in cultural exploration, steadfastly enriching lives for over five years.

Tyra Tucker, an Oxford University alumna with dual degrees in International Studies and Diplomacy, possesses a broad global perspective shaped by extensive international travel and diverse experiences in cultural institutions. With a unique heritage blending African American, Hispanic, Nigerian, and British backgrounds, Tyra brings a rich and multifaceted perspective to her endeavors.
Her entrepreneurial ventures have earned her notable recognition, including a Special Commendation for the Be The Boss Enterprising Student of the Year award and the distinction of 'Best Business Presentation' at the Midlands Enterprise Universities Showcase Event. Moreover, she leveraged her expertise to educate at the Oxford University Learning Centre, utilizing Culture Scoop as a case study to illustrate the process of digital transformation for any concept.
